Jay Nok represents everything we love about Thai culture—bold, authentic flavours, the joy of coming together, and the seamless blend of tradition and modernity. Our menu is a love letter to the dishes that shaped us, reimagined with a fresh, modern twist. We’re thrilled to share this passion with Vancouver and invite the city to experience Thai street food in a way that feels both familiar and entirely new.
Nok was born in Thailand and moved to Vancouver in 2012, where she began her culinary journey at Sala Thai as a Line Cook. Her talent and dedication quickly shone, earning her the role of Executive Chef in 2015. With an Economics and Hospitality Diploma from Nongkhai College, Nok has honed her craft in restaurants and hotels across Asia and Greece.
Renowned for her intricate fruit and vegetable carvings, Nok has won multiple awards and showcased her artistry for the Royal Thai Consulate in Vancouver. As the creative force behind Jay Nok’s menu, her refined palate and passion for Thai cuisine promise to delight every guest.
Bobby, born and raised in Vancouver, grew up in the hospitality industry, helping his family run Sala Thai.
